LiturgyLectorsThe lectors proclaim the Word of God during Mass on Sundays and Holy Days. Eucharistic MinistersEucharistic Ministers distribute Holy Communion at the Saturday and Sunday Masses. Altar ServersYoung people (6th grade through high school) serve the community through assisting in the liturgical life of the parish primarily as servers during weekday, weekend and funeral Masses. Ushers and GreetersThis group volunteers to serve at each of the regular weekend Masses. Their purpose is to welcome parishioners and visitors, take up the collection, direct orderly reception of Holy Communion and distribute the Sunday bulletins. They also maintain the security of the congregation during services. SacristansSacristans serve the assembly by preparing all the physical objects and elements needed for the Mass. They prepare the vessels for the Eucharistic liturgy, and set out appropriate quantities of bread and wine. |
