Staff Biographies

 

Fr. Tim Clark – Pastor/Priest Administrator

Fr. Tim was ordained in 1980 at St. James Cathedral.  He has a bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a minor in Philosophy.  He studied in Rome from 1976-1980 where he earned an STB and beginning STL in Sacramental Theology.  Fr. Tim was born and raised in Portland, OR and moved to the Seattle area in 1969.  He is the oldest of five siblings.  Fr. Tim is an avid cyclist who also loves the sea and loves to read.  Fr. Tim serves as the spiritual leader of this parish/school community.

Patrick Dominguez – Office Manager

Patrick is a recent graduate of Seattle University where he studied English and Philosophy.  He has held several positions in campus ministry, administration, and student development.  He is originally from San Francisco and has a younger sister studying at USF.  Patrick is a big baseball fan (mostly the Giants, but the Mariners, too).  He enjoys going out to restaurants, exploring the city, reading, watching movies, and playing the occasional video game.  Patrick is in charge of collections/deposits, scheduling, the bulletin, the website, and making sure things “work” around here.

Bill Dowd – Bookkeeper/Administrator

Bill has over 30 years experience in business management, administration, and public relations.  He holds a BA in Economics from Xavier University.  He is originally from Ohio but has lived in Seattle for over 30 years.  He has two adult daughters and a new granddaughter.  Bill enjoys tennis, travel, birds, and his granddaughter.  He is responsible for parish and school bookkeeping and financial reporting, human resources, facilities oversight, and budgets.

 

Sara Hanson – Pastoral Minister for Music and Liturgy

Sara has a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance with Piano as her secondary instrument.  She worked through college as the accompanist and assistant to the Voice Program at Sacramento City College.  She holds a Master’s of Music in conducting from the UW.  Sara is a Pacific Northwest girl through and through.  She grew up in Portland and has been in the Seattle area for over 15 years.  Sara’s hobbies include cooking, gardening, and running.  She oversees all liturgical activities, plans the music, and directs the choir and Sunday evening ensemble.

 

Roy Harrington - Deacon

Roy holds a BA in Family and Mental Health Counseling and a Master’s in Public Administration.  He is retired from 30 years in the Army Reserves where he worked in human resources.  Roy currently works as the Emergency Management Coordinator for King County Metro Transit.  He is originally from Spokane and Yakima with roots in southeast Washington and northern Idaho.  He and his wife, Liz, have been blissfully (!) married for 31+ years and have three children: Julia, Kevin, and John – all out of the house now.  Roy enjoys golf, bike riding, bird hunting, and reading.  His many involvements with the parish/archdiocese include: outreach to the elderly and ill, Consoling Grace grief support, assisting at mass and preaching, JustFaith team member, altar server trainer, CTP trainer, Archdiocesan Scouting Chaplain, and Chaplain at St. Martin de Porres’ shelter for CCS.

 

 

Carla LoucksPastoral Minister for Adult Faith Formation

Carla has over 20 years experience in parish ministry and holds a degree in Theology from Seattle University.  Born and raised in Bellevue, WA, she recently moved back to the Seattle area with her family after living in Colorado for 17 years.  She and her husband, Matt, stay busy with their four children in grade school/high school.  Carla enjoys reading, dancing, and various forms of artistic expression.  She leads the RCIA process, helps coordinate the GIFT program, and organizes various adult faith formation opportunities.

 

Vince McGovern – School Principal

Vince is a graduate of Catholic Education from primary through graduate school. Vince grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from La Salle University with a degree in education and earned his maters degree at Seattle U.   He is the proud son of Lucy and Owen McGovern and has five siblings.  He and his wife, Jenny, live in Ballard with their daughters, Lucy and Fiona, and their dog, Guinness.  Traveling and spending time with family take up most of Vince’s free time.  Life is best lived for him when he is on the beach.  Vince is responsible for keeping all aspects of the school running smoothly.

 

 

Tim Pruss – Maintenance Director

Tim is responsible for keeping the parish buildings in a clean and safe state for all who use them.  In many ways he is a "jack of all trades”.  Tim is highly invested in the physical space we call our parish.   He has worked at OLL for many years, knows a great deal about the facility’s history, and has built and enhanced many of the smaller structures with his own hands.  Tim has lived in Washington all his life and has a wife, Cathy, and two grown children, Jill and Jakob.  He enjoys hiking, target shooting, reading books, magazines, and taking the dog, Britta, for walks after work.

 

 

Mary Romer – Pastoral Minister for Faith Formation of Children and Youth
Mary coordinates faith formation for children and youth, Rite of Christian Initiation of Children, First Reconciliation, and First Communion.  She has over three decades experience in parish and Catholic campus ministry, and served as Director of Campus Ministry at Seattle University, and Associate Director at Notre Dame.  She holds a Master in Divinity from the University of Notre Dame, a Bachelor of Social Work, and a Management certificate. Mary has two daughters, Sarah and Rachel, and enjoys kayaking, volleyball and gardening. She serves on the Board of the Church Council of Greater Seattle, and on the Palestine Concerns Task Force.
